Create your own unique handmade ring in my home studio located in a village just outside of Stamford, in Lincolnshire.
The course is suitable for beginners, you will learn traditional silversmithing techniques and use a variety of specialised tools to create up to two Sterling Silver rings throughout your course (see example photos). Your instructor will be me - Fiona, a certified Goldsmith and Teacher with more than 10 years of experience in the jewellery industry and 8 years in education. With a class size limited to two students, you'll receive ample guidance to guarantee a successful result.
Skills that you will learn:
Understanding and applying ring sizing information
Selecting appropriate stock form material
Metal forming techniques
Soldering
Metal textures
Filing, Grading, and polishing.
Personal protection equipment will be provided on the day.
The course fee is £120, and it runs from 10 am to 4.30pm, including a brief lunch break. A Light lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day. The course is scheduled for several days over the next couple of months; please choose your preferred date upon booking. Once your booking is confirmed I will contact you to discuss further details with you. Alternative dates can be booked, please contact for availability.
